GRADUATE THESES DATABASE
FUNAG and IPRI announce the new website of the Graduate Theses Database. As of July 2016, the database comprises a list of more than 3,000 Graduate theses in International Relations and related areas defended in Brazil. The database was elaborated in Portuguese and is available in this link.
The seminar "Varnhagen (1816-1878): diplomacy and strategic thinking", held on 1 April at the Rio Branco Institute was broadcast live. The full video is already available.
Ambassador Moreira Lima received a visit from the Vice-Dean pro tempore of the Federal University of Latin American Integration (UNILA), Professor Nielsen de Paula Pires. At the meeting, they discussed different aspects of mutual cooperation under the memorandum of understanding for academic cooperation between the two institutions, signed in December 2015.
The Professor of the University of Sussex met with the President of FUNAG and other diplomats for a discussion on general topics of international politics, including Brexit.
"A certain idea of Brazil"
FUNAG held, in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the University of Brasilia, from 1 to 3 June, a seminar that marked the beginning of the 50th anniversary celebrations of Itamaraty Palace.
On 15 February, the President of FUNAG received the Director of publishing house Editora UnB, Ms Ana Maria Fernandes. They discussed resuming the publication of the "IPRI Classics", collection in which FUNAG's Institute of Research on International Relations (IPRI) has published books that have been essential to the in-depth study of international relations, in its political, economic, and legal aspects.
