FUNAG signed, on 19 December, a Memorandum of Understanding for academic cooperation with the Federal University of Espírito Santo (UFES). The document establishes cooperation to promote and improve understanding between the institutions and the academic universe, aiming to form an international relations study center at UFES.
Professor Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade, judge of the International Court of Justice, visited FUNAG to discuss the Foundation’s editing of the book “A Obrigação Universal de Desarmamento Nuclear”, in April, in Rio de Janeiro.
On 13 December, the Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation’s (FUNAG) Institute for Research on International Relations (IPRI) held the lecture-debate “Are we heading toward a China-centered world? – Global changes and their implications for Brazil” with International Relations Professor at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (FGV) in Sao Paulo, Oliver Stuenkel, at the Paulo Nogueira Batista auditorium, in Brasilia.
FUNAG and IPRI announce the new website of the Graduate Theses Database. As of July 2016, the database comprises a list of more than 3,000 Graduate theses in International Relations and related areas defended in Brazil. The database was elaborated in Portuguese and is available in this link.
The EU Ambassador to Brazil sent a letter to Ambassador Moreira Lima in which he highlights the contribution of a Foundation’s seminar to the final result of Global Strategy.
The Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation has published “O Brasil e as Restrições às Exportações”, by Diplomat Andréa Saldanha da Gama Watson. The book is part of the “Curso de Altos Estudos” Collection.
