FUNAG participates in XII International Book Biennial of Ceara

The Alexandre de Gusmão Foundation participates in the XII International Book Biennial of Ceará, from April 14 to 23 at the Ceará Event Center.


NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT

“A Obrigação Universal do Desarmamento Nuclear” to be released in April at ABLJ

Professor Antônio Augusto Cançado Trindade, judge of the International Court of Justice, visited FUNAG to discuss the Foundation’s editing of the book “A Obrigação Universal de Desarmamento Nuclear”, in April, in Rio de Janeiro.


The Rio Branco Institute (IRBr) and the Alexandre de Gusmao Foundation (FUNAG) held inaugural class on “Defense, Security and Foreign Policy” with minister of Defense, Raul Jungmann, at the Rio Branco Institute auditorium. IRBr has 32 Brazilian students and 7 foreign students this year.

Academic production website release

FUNAG and IPRI announce the new website of the Graduate Theses Database. As of July 2016, the database comprises a list of more than 3,000 Graduate theses in International Relations and related areas defended in Brazil. The database was elaborated in Portuguese and is available in this link.

EUROPEAN UNION

Lecture held by FUNAG discussed the future of the European Union

In partnership with the Brazilian Center for International Relations (CEBRI) and the European Union Delegation, FUNAG held, on 30 March at Itamaraty Palace in Rio de Janeiro, the lecture “What is the Future of the European Union?”.

FUNAG has published the book "BRICS - studies and documents", the English translation of the book "BRICS: Estudos e Documentos", published in 2015 as part of the “Relações Internacionais” collection. It is a collection of five articles written by scholars and diplomats who have worked with the subject, in addition to Media Notes of the annual Summits, from 2008 until the Fortaleza Summit in 2014.
